One of Australia’s greatest nature experiences
Premium Tasmanian safari in the wilderness and campfire dining
Reviewed as one of Australia’s best nature experiences – discover the wilderness, wildlife and tastes of Tasmania on this afternoon/evening tour. Enjoy a gourmet campfire dinner with a wonderful after dark wildlife show which focuses on the antics of the eastern quoll in its natural habitat.
Visit Ben Lomond National Park, a spectacular mountain of dolerite columns and scree slopes and home to eight of the twenty highest peaks in Tasmania. Awesome views and a magnificent array of alpine vegetation are on offer. The park plays an invaluable role in regional wildlife conservation. Ben Lomond is the highest drivable point in Tasmania.
The Campfire Dinner
Dinner is a 4-course campfire. A Tasmanian, somewhat bush tucker affair, consisting of a Tasmanian cheese platter with Tasmanian smoked chicken, salmon and wallaby followed by wallaby mountain burgers and native spiced salmon. Settle back and relax with a Tassie beer or wine and watch the sun set to experience one of nature’s best after-dark shows going around.
The Wildlife Show
Be amazed by a nocturnal encounter with some of Tasmania’s unique and endearing wildlife species: Eastern quolls, pademelons and Bennett’s wallabies, wombats and brush tail possums all within reach. With owls, bandicoots and tawny frogmouths as some of the other local residents.
